Bains Optical Healthcare grew out of a family pharmacy that has been part of Heath Hayes for decades. When we opened the optical practice next door, we set ourselves a single rule. Treat every patient the way we would treat our own family. No corporate scripts. No pushy sales. No medical jargon thrown at the wall to sound clever.
That rule is still the only rule. We are independent, which means the time we give you, the frames we recommend, and the advice we offer are not handed down by a head office somewhere. They come from the people in front of you. People who live in Cannock. People who recognise their patients in the supermarket and remember the prescription they need before they have to ask.
Between us, our team has more than half a century of optical experience. We trained at some of the most respected practices in the region. We chose to bring all of that here, to a quieter street in Heath Hayes, because we wanted to do the job properly. Twenty-five unhurried minutes at a time.

Trained at leading high-street practices and now bringing all of that expertise to a quieter chair in Heath Hayes. Jeevan handles everything from detailed eye examinations to cataract referrals and complex prescriptions, with a calm warmth that puts even the most nervous patients instantly at ease.
Cass
Twenty-seven years in optics. Ten of them with us. Cass spent seventeen years in major optical practices before joining Bains, and there is genuinely nothing about lenses, frames, or prescriptions she has not seen. Patients ask for her by name. We understand why.
Alison
Twenty-seven years dispensing, trained under Philip Howard, the practice widely regarded as one of the finest in the region. Alison brings expert frame styling, advanced dispensing for complex prescriptions, and the kind of patient fault-finding that comes only from decades of doing the job properly.
Gail
Twelve years on the high street before joining us four years ago, with a background as a qualified beauty therapist. Gail has the rare instinct for face shapes, skin tone, and personality that turns frame-buying from a chore into a pleasure. If you do not know what suits you, she does.
